What does being "financially healthy" mean to you?

Being financially healthy, to me, is about empowerment, resilience, and creating opportunities that uplift individuals and communities, especially those who are most underserved. Coming from a background where financial security was not a given, I have seen firsthand the power of financial literacy in transforming lives. My father’s dedication to his business and my mother’s nurturing spirit taught me that financial health isn’t just about numbers- it’s about empowerment, resilience, and the ability to uplift not only oneself but also the community. Through my work with Empower Her, the Robin Hood Army, and sustainability initiatives, I have dedicated myself to ensuring that financial knowledge reaches those who need it most-helping women break cycles of dependence, gain economic freedom, and build a future of stability and dignity. Financial health is not just about earning; it is about equity, access, and sustainable development, ensuring that essential services like education, healthcare, and economic opportunities are accessible to all, regardless of social or economic status. It also involves fostering inclusion whether through mentorship programs, leadership training, or community-driven initiatives where individuals, especially women, can thrive. I believe financial well-being should be a right, not a privilege, and I am committed to driving change that enables people to not only survive but to take control of their futures and create lasting impact.

What motivates you to be financially healthy?

What motivates me to be financially healthy is the power it holds to create opportunities, drive change, and uplift those who have been historically underserved. Coming from a background where financial security was not always guaranteed, I learned early on that financial health is not just about personal stability’s about having the ability to empower others and shape a more equitable future. My father’s dedication to his business and my mother’s nurturing spirit instilled in me the importance of resilience, resourcefulness, and generosity. These values fuel my passion for women’s empowerment, sustainability, and social impact. Through my work with Empower Her, the Robin Hood Army, and various leadership initiatives, I have seen how financial literacy and access to resources can transform lives, helping women break free from economic limitations and build independent futures. For me, financial health is about creating a ripple effect where one empowered individual can inspire and uplift an entire community. By ensuring my financial well-being, I can continue to invest in meaningful initiatives, mentor others, and advocate for a world where financial knowledge and opportunities are accessible to all, regardless of background or circumstance.

What is one of your main financial goals right now, and why?

One of my main financial goals right now is to build a strong foundation that allows me to uplift and support women around me in achieving financial independence. Growing up, I witnessed how financial limitations often dictate the choices women make whether in education, career, or personal aspirations. I want to change that narrative by helping women break free from societal constraints and create a status for themselves, where financial security is not just a dream but a reality.

For me, financial health is not just about security it’s about creating a cycle of empowerment where one success story leads to many more. When one woman gains financial independence, she not only transforms her own life but also becomes a source of inspiration and support for others. She teaches her daughters, mentors her peers, and uplifts her community. This ripple effect is what drives me. I want to use my knowledge, resources, and experiences to help women take control of their financial futures whether it’s through career growth, entrepreneurship, or simply learning how to manage their earnings effectively. My financial stability will not only provide me with the means to support these efforts but will also reinforce the idea that every woman, regardless of her background, deserves the opportunity to thrive, stand on her own, and make choices from a place of confidence, not constraint.
